Basketball Recap: Holy Trinity Catholic Celtics vs. Live Oak Classical Falcons
This season hasn't been kind to the Holy Trinity Catholic Celtics, who are still winless after their 15th contest. They were outmatched by Live Oak Classical at home and fell 84-47. Holy Trinity Catholic has not had much luck with the Falcons recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Live Oak Classical found their leader in underclassman Jayden Ogden, who scored eight points along with eight assists and seven steals. Ogden has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last seven times he's played. Hudson Hornback was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with seven rebounds.
Holy Trinity Catholic dropped their record down to 0-15 with that defeat, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Live Oak Classical, they are on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 19 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 26-5 record this season.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Central Texas Christian the next time they take the court. Holy Trinity Catholic will head out to face the Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, while the Falcons will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
