Basketball Recap: Alonso Takes a Loss

While it was all tied up 15-15 at halftime, Alonso was not quite Tampa Bay Tech's equal in the second half on Tuesday. They fell to the Tampa Bay Tech Titans 46-42. The Ravens were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Titans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Tampa Bay Tech's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Evan Clark, who went 7 of 12 on his way to 19 points and five boards. The match was Clark's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Javon Russel was another key player, going 5 for 8 en route to 10 points and three blocks.

Alonso dropped their record down to 8-13 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Tampa Bay Tech, their win bumped their record up to 6-14.

Alonso wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 58-54 loss against Bloomingdale on the 22nd. As for Tampa Bay Tech, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 49-43 victory against Lennard on the 22nd.
