Basketball Recap: Southern Comes Up Short

Southern lost against Johnson County Central back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Southern Raiders were dealt a 48-21 loss at the hands of the Johnson County Central Thunderbirds. The Raiders were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 24-4.

Southern's defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Johnson County Central, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southern will welcome Tri County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Tri County will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Southern surely won't give up without a fight. As for Johnson County Central, they will be playing at home against Syracuse at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
