Mercyhurst Prep dropped their record down to 24-2 on Monday, which also ended the team's 13-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Freedom Area Bulldogs by a score of 2-0. The match marked the first time this year in which the Lakers were not able to get on the board.

Hunter Krahe spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up six Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 12 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Mercyhurst Prep saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Manendo, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

As for Freedom Area, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games.

On Freedom Area's side, not much got past Boden Hilliard, who gave up just three hits and racked up ten Ks to keep Mercyhurst Prep off the board.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Tommy Ward, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

As of now, neither Mercyhurst Prep nor Freedom Area have any future games scheduled.
