Geneva has no trouble against Brentwood Christian

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Geneva had no problem doing just that on Friday. They strolled past Brentwood Christian with points to spare, taking the game 31-14. The win was just what Geneva needed coming off of a 74-7 defeat in their prior matchup.

Jacob Rosenstiel went supernova for Geneva, rushing for 266 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.2 yards per carry, and also throwing for 156 yards and two touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Kp Fitzgerald, who picked up 86 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Despite the defeat, Brentwood Christian saw an underclassman step up: Brayden Jennings rushed for 21 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 192 yards and a touchdown.

Geneva is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for Brentwood Christian, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 6-5.

Geneva will face off against Cypress Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cypress Christian will be hoping to continue their four-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last. Brentwood Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
