Basketball Recap: Sophie Sellars' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Faith Baptist Christian Academy over the Habersham School

Faith Baptist Christian Academy lost against The Habersham School back in November and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Faith Baptist Christian Academy Crusaders fell 64-53 to The Habersham School Patriots. The Crusaders' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Faith Baptist Christian Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Sophie Sellars, who posted 14 points along with eight steals and seven assists. Madison Starr was another key player, putting up 13 points along with five boards and four steals.

Faith Baptist Christian Academy now has a losing record at 6-7. As for The Habersham School, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Faith Baptist Christian Academy will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Crossroads Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. The Habersham School will also get a bit of a break before their next game: they'll face off against Savannah Christian at 5:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
