Baseball Recap: Shawnee Takes a Loss

Shawnee lost against Cherokee back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Renegades fell just short of the Chiefs by a score of 5-4.

Shawnee got a good showing from Nick Panciera, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Panciera has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Aidan Brady was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season.

Shawnee's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Cherokee, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shawnee will host Mainland Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Cherokee, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cherry Hill East at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. This will be the Chiefs' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
