Baseball Recap: Conant Comes Up Short

Conant was the 4-1 winner over Hoffman Estates when they last played one another on Monday, but their luck changed this time around. The Cougars fell 7-4 to the Hawks on Wednesday.

Jacob Szpiganowicz made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

Conant's loss dropped their record down to 11-14-1. As for Hoffman Estates, their record now sits at 8-18.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Conant will venture away from home to square off against Rolling Meadows at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. The Mustangs will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight. As for Hoffman Estates, they are taking a road trip to challenge Buffalo Grove at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. The Hawks are facing the Bison at the right time seeing as the Bison are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
