Volleyball Recap: Herscher Takes a Loss

Herscher lost against Coal City back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Tigers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Coalers.

While Herscher was not able to win a set, they sure kept things interesting: every set was decided by exactly two points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 25-23.

Herscher has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-25 record this season. As for Coal City, the win snapped their losing streak at three matches and leaves them with a 15-15-1 record.

Herscher has already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Lisle on the 20th. As for Coal City, they will square off against Wilmington at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
