Georgia Wingebach leads a balanced attack to beat Cody-Kilgore

Recap: Mullen Broncos vs. Cody-Kilgore Cowboys/Cowgirls
The Mullen Broncos scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They walked away with a 48-40 win over Cody-Kilgore. The score was all tied up 27-27 at the break, but Mullen was the better team in the second half.
Mullen's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Georgia Wingebach, who scored six points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Those seven rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Paxton, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds.
Mullen now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Cody-Kilgore, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.
Mullen will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Brady at 4:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Cody-Kilgore will be home for the holidays to greet Hyannis on Tuesday.
