Basketball Recap: Friday's Victory Is Saltillo's Tenth in Last 12 Outings

Saltillo extended their home winning streak to six games thanks to a huge performance from Crayden Shannon. Everything went the Saltillo Tigers' way against the Grenada Chargers on Friday as the Saltillo Tigers made off with a 74-54 win thanks in part to Shannon, who went 11 of 17 on his way to 27 points. The match was his 12th in a row with at least ten points.

When it comes to explaining why Grenada lost, don't look at Braylon Hardiman. Despite the final result, he posted 19 points. The dominant performance gave Hardiman a new career-high in points.

Saltillo is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.8 points per game. As for Grenada, their loss dropped their record down to 4-17.

Saltillo will face off against North Pontotoc at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Saltillo knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine games -- so hopefully North Pontotoc likes a good challenge. As for Grenada, they will take on Lake Cormorant at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
