The matchup between Sunny Hills and Fullerton on Thursday hardly resembled the 14-6 effort from their previous meeting. The Lancers fell just short of the Indians by a score of 35-33. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Lancers have suffered since August 30, 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Sunny Hills lost, don't look at George Shelledy. Despite the final result, he rushed for 125 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries, and also threw for 67 yards and one TD.

Sunny Hills' loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Fullerton, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-2.

Sunny Hills wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 28-25 defeat against Kennedy on the 30th. As for Fullerton, they have also already played their next matchup, a 34-15 victory against Valencia on the 30th.
