Baseball Recap: Tonopah Continues Road Dominance on Friday

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mineral County, Tonopah was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They put the hurt on the Mountain View Christian Saints with a sharp 18-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Muckers, who have now won four matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Brekken Miller was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with five RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Mitchell Miller, who scored two runs and stole five bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Tonopah always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .760. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Tonopah pushed their record up to 7-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

They will have a chance to go back-to-back against Mountain View Christian: the pair will be back at it again later today.
