Desert Heights Prep put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They never let the Valley Lutheran Flames get on the board and left with a 12-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Yote, who have now won three matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

Justin Aguon was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jesse Aguon, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Desert Heights Prep's win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average this season. As for Valley Lutheran, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Desert Heights Prep will head out to take on Antelope at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Antelope will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last. As for Valley Lutheran, they will head out on the road to challenge San Manuel at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
