Basketball Game Preview: Plainview Bulldogs vs. Lubbock Westerners

Plainview is on a three-game streak of home losses, Lubbock a six-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change on Tuesday. The Plainview Bulldogs will welcome the Lubbock Westerners at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, Plainview was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 59-54 to Caprock. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Bulldogs came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 383rd, while the Longhorns are ranked 810th).

Meanwhile, Lubbock lost 68-48 to Coronado on Friday.

Lubbock's defeat dropped their record down to 8-20. As for Plainview, their loss dropped their record down to 13-13.

Plainview strolled past Lubbock in their previous matchup back in January by a score of 67-49. Will Plainview repeat their success, or does Lubbock have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
