Baseball Recap: McMinn Central Takes a Loss

McMinn Central lost against Alcoa back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Chargers fell 9-5 to the Tornadoes. The Chargers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

McMinn Central saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hunter Rayburn, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base. Another was Dylan Jacobs, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

McMinn Central's loss dropped their record down to 23-13. As for Alcoa, they are on a roll lately: they've won 17 of their last 18 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-4 record this season.

While McMinn Central had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
