Volleyball Recap: Altamonte Christian Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Altamonte Christian waltzed into their contest on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Riverbend Academy Warriors 3-0. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Warriors, too.

Altamonte Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Valeria Marte led the charge by getting 19 kills and two aces. Marte is crushing it when it comes to kills: she's had at least seven every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashlyn Hoberg, who had 24 assists and two aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Altamonte Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in ten consecutive matchups.

Altamonte Christian's record is now 7-15. As for Riverbend Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-8.

Altamonte Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Legacy Charter on the 7th. As for Riverbend Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against First Baptist Christian Academy on the 7th.
