Volleyball Recap: Altamonte Christian's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Altamonte Christian entered their tilt with Riverbend Academy on Saturday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Warriors with a sharp 3-0 win. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Altamonte Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Valeria Marte, who had 19 kills and two aces. Marte is crushing it when it comes to kills: she's had at least five every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Ella Fritz, who had six aces and three digs.

They weren't the only good servers: Altamonte Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 14 aces in three consecutive matchups.

Altamonte Christian's win bumped their record up to 7-15. As for Riverbend Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-8.

Coming up, Altamonte Christian will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Legacy Charter at 5:00 p.m. As for Riverbend Academy, they are taking a road trip to challenge First Baptist Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
