Hardaway is 8-2 against Kendrick since January of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Hardaway Hawks will welcome the Kendrick Cherokees at 7:30 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Hardaway is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 59 points two weeks ago, they were much more limited against Sumter County last Tuesday. They had to suffer through a 54-23 loss at the hands of the Panthers. The defeat continues a trend for the Hawks in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now lost nine in a row.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Tristan Jackson, who posted five points. Another player making a difference was Sergio Lowe, who put up four points.

Meanwhile, Kendrick was not able to break out of their rough patch last Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 68-64 heartbreaker at the hands of Columbus.

Like Kendrick, they lost despite seeing results from several players. Cash Elder led the charge by putting up 14 points. Noah Harris was another key player, posting nine points along with seven assists and three steals.

Kendrick's defeat dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Hardaway, their loss dropped their record down to 5-12.

Hardaway was dealt a bruising 75-44 defeat at the hands of Kendrick in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Hardaway was down 47-25.
