Basketball Recap: Mccamey's Win Ends Three-Game Losing Streak on the Road

McCamey lost to Van Horn back in February of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The McCamey Badgers walked away with a 40-28 win over the Van Horn Eagles.

Van Horn's loss came despite strong showings from Joey Anchondo and David Baeza. Anchondo went 6 for 15 on his way to 13 points, while Baeza posted 11 points. Anchondo has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times he's played.

McCamey's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-7. As for Van Horn, their loss dropped their record down to 11-9.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Fort Hancock the next time they take the court. Van Horn will head out to face Fort Hancock at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while McCamey will head out to face them at 8:00 p.m. on January 21st.
