Basketball Recap: Shelby Comes Up Short

Shelby was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 57-43 bruising from the Fairfield Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Coyotes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Montana basketball rankings (they are ranked 126th, while the Eagles are ranked second).

Shelby's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Fairfield, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

Shelby and Choteau will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Fairfield, they will head out on the road to face off against Conrad at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Conrad will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Fairfield surely won't give up without a fight.
