Garland has gone 9-1 against Lakeview Centennial recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Garland Owls will head out to challenge the Lakeview Centennial Patriots at 7:30 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Garland's offense. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wylie on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Lakeview Centennial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Rowlett, falling 7-1. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 718th, while the Eagles are ranked 232nd).

Garland's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Lakeview Centennial, their loss dropped their record down to 1-16.

Garland came out on top in a nail-biter against Lakeview Centennial in their previous matchup back in February, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Garland since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
