Volleyball Recap: Kate Duncan Smith DAR Takes a Loss

Kate Duncan Smith DAR lost against Bob Jones back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Kate Duncan Smith DAR fell 2-0 to Bob Jones.

Shayna Russell paced Kate Duncan Smith DAR's offense, picking up ten kills. Russell got some help from Gillian Head and her 13 assists. Ava Turley controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Bob Jones was led to victory by Brooklynn Morgan and Keira Blume. Morgan had ten digs and three assists, while Blume had seven digs and two aces. Those seven digs gave Blume a new career-high.

Kate Duncan Smith DAR's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Bob Jones, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-4.

Coming up, Kate Duncan Smith DAR will take on Whitesburg Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bob Jones, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Madison County on the 30th.
