Volleyball Recap: Appleton East Patriots vs. Edgar Wildcats

Appleton East saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Edgar Wildcats. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Their offense was headlined by Syrah Verhagen and Tesha Schlaak, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Opal Sparkman and her nine assists. Ryley Foley controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Appleton East now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Edgar, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

After both having extra time off, Appleton East and Kaukauna will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The contest will give the Patriots their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Edgar, they will be taking part in a tournament against Stevens Point at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
