Headland hasn't had much luck against Ashford recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Headland Rams will host the Ashford Yellowjackets at 6:00 p.m. Headland is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.1 runs per game this season.

Headland's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Carroll with a sharp 16-0 win. The Rams have beaten the Eagles the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Eagles has come to flipping the script.

Addison Grantham was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles. Those doubles were her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Tiana Mitchell, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Grantham wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Headland kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Carroll only managed two hits.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Ashford's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of Dale County by a score of 3-1. The contest marked the Yellowjackets' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Ashford's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Headland, their victory bumped their record up to 6-1.
