Volleyball Recap: Amarillo Comes Up Short

After flying high against Palo Duro on Tuesday, Amarillo came back down to earth. The Sandies took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Byron Nelson Bobcat on Thursday. The Sandies were not able to make up for their loss to the Bobcat from their previous meeting back in August of 2023.

Amarillo was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-21.

Amarillo dropped their record down to 8-3 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Byron Nelson, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.

Amarillo didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Wylie East on the 21st. As for Byron Nelson, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Odessa on the 21st.
