Baseball Recap: Dekaney Comes Up Short

Dekaney lost against Aldine on Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Dekaney Wildcats fell 4-1 to the Aldine Mustangs. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Michael Hayes spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four runs (all of which were unearned) on four hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had over his last six matchups.

At the plate, Dekaney saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adrian Martinez, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Dekaney's loss dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Aldine, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 8-2.

Coming up, Dekaney will take on Westfield at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Dekaney is facing Westfield at the right time seeing as Westfield is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Aldine, they will challenge Nimitz at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
