Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Thomas County Central, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over Crisp County on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Yellow Jackets in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won four in a row.

Thomas County Central easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-6.

Northside's defeat dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Thomas County Central, their win bumped their record up to 20-3.

Northside couldn't quite get it done against Thomas County Central in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
