Football Game Preview: Riverdale Raiders vs. Estero Wildcats

The Riverdale Raiders will venture away from home to square off against the Estero Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Riverdale is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Fort Myers just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 12-0 to the Green Wave. The game marked the first time this year in which the Raiders were not able to get on the board.

Riverdale didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Kameran Miller and Zoey O'Nan.

Meanwhile, Estero waltzed into their contest on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-0 W against the Wolfpack.

Riverdale's defeat dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Estero, they pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Riverdale didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Estero when the teams last played back in March of 2024, but they still walked away with a 12-6 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Raiders since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
