After having lost a blowout in their previous game against South Dearborn, Oldenburg Academy was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Milan Indians. The victory continues a trend for the Twisters in their matchups with the Indians: they've now won six in a row.

Oldenburg Academy was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 23-25, 25-19, 25-23.

Ali Nobbe paced Oldenburg Academy's offense, picking up 18 kills. Nobbe got some help from Campbell Miles and her 26 assists. Nobbe also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Rachel Suttmann, each putting up four.

Despite the loss, Milan saw an underclassman step up: freshman Makenleigh Baylor had 17 digs and three assists. Baylor has been hot recently, having posted 14 or more digs the last three times she's played.

Oldenburg Academy's win bumped their record up to 13-3. As for Milan, they moved to 12-7 with that defeat, which also ended their five-match winning streak.

Oldenburg Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Brown County on the 27th. As for Milan, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Madison on the 27th.
