Softball Recap: Troy Has No Trouble Against Stebbins

Troy got themselves on the board against Stebbins on Monday, but Stebbins never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Indians with a sharp 10-0 win. Considering the Trojans have won 11 games by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Riley King made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 15 consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Mimi Shaw, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Amara Erbaugh was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and two doubles.

Troy's victory bumped their record up to 14-4. As for Stebbins, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Troy will face off against Fairborn at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Stebbins, they will take on Butler at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
