Volleyball Recap: Centennial Comes Up Short at Home Against Vero Beach

Centennial unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Vero Beach Indians on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Indians recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-10, 25-20.

Jailyn Williams paced Centennial's offense, picking up four kills. Williams were helped by Zoey Armstrong and Ava Overstreet, who contributed five assists each.

Centennial didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Port St. Lucie on the 22nd. As for Vero Beach, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Heritage on the 21st.
