Jackson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .929. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Escambia County only posted an OBP of .500.

Jackson's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-3. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Escambia County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jackson will head out to challenge Clarke County at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Escambia County, they will venture away from home to square off against W.S. Neal at 4:30 p.m. on the 10th.
