Le Grand and Orestimba are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. The Le Grand Bulldogs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Orestimba Warriors at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Le Grand fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Sierra on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 6-3 to the Chieftains. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Chieftains recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Diego Martinez was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing four bases while going 3-for-4.

Meanwhile, Orestimba was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Gustine, falling 9-3.

Orestimba saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Donovan Torres, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Orestimba's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Le Grand, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Saturday as neither team is afraid to steal. Le Grand has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Orestimba struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.7 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Le Grand beat Orestimba 5-2 when the teams last played last Wednesday. Will Le Grand repeat their success, or does Orestimba have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
