South Central had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.6 runs) and they went ahead and made it eight on Thursday. They came out on top against the Whitefield Academy Wildcats by a score of 15-10. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Rebels also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2025.

Gracie Haag spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered ten runs (all of which were unearned) on ten hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 12 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, South Central got a massive performance out of Addison Stepro, who fired off two home runs, three runs, and three RBI while going 2-for-2. Those two home runs gave Stepro a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Delaney Pennington, who fired off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 2-for-4.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: South Central kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive games.

South Central's record now sits at 11-5. As for Whitefield Academy, their defeat was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-17.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Central will welcome Salem at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Whitefield Academy, they will host Bullitt Central at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
