Basketball Recap: Rice Memorial Takes a Loss

Rice Memorial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 30th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 50-30 to the Champlain Valley Union Redhawks. While losing is never fun, the Green Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Vermont basketball rankings (they are ranked 42nd, while the Redhawks are ranked seventh).

Rice Memorial's record now sits at 0-10. As for Champlain Valley Union, their win was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-3.

Rice Memorial will face off against South Burlington at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Champlain Valley Union has already played their next contest (against Essex), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
