Volleyball Game Preview: Manhattan HomeSchool CHIEF vs. St. Xavier Rams

After both having extra time off, Manhattan HomeSchool CHIEF and the St. Xavier Rams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Manhattan HomeSchool CHIEF has three straight wins, St. Xavier has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Manhattan HomeSchool CHIEF's tournament run continued when they took on Newton (Home School) on Saturday. Manhattan HomeSchool CHIEF walked away with a 2-0 victory over Newton (Home School).

Meanwhile, St. Xavier lost 3-0 to Flint Hills Christian on Tuesday.

While St. Xavier was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Flint Hills Christian's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-10, 26-22.

Manhattan HomeSchool CHIEF now has a winning record of 4-3-1. As for St. Xavier, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Manhattan HomeSchool CHIEF took their win against St. Xavier when the teams last played last Tuesday by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for Manhattan HomeSchool CHIEF since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
