Preview: Central Christian Cougars vs. South Barber Chieftains
After four games on the road, Central Christian is heading back home. They and the South Barber Chieftains will face off on February 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard on Friday.
Last Tuesday, Central Christian came up short against Cunningham and fell 66-58. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Central Christian in their matchups with Cunningham: they've now lost three in a row.
Meanwhile, South Barber had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.7 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Pretty Prairie with a sharp 59-34 victory.
Central Christian's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for South Barber, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4-1 record this season.
