Preview: Dawson Bulldogs vs. Hubbard Jaguars
Dawson is 9-1 against Hubbard since January of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Dawson Bulldogs will look to defend their home court against the Hubbard Jaguars at 7:30 p.m.
Last Tuesday, Dawson was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 49-45 to Bremond.
Even though Hubbard has not done well against Riesel recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Hubbard took down Riesel 51-36.
Dawson's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-7. As for Hubbard, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 14-10 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Dawson against Hubbard in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 as the team secured a 60-32 win. Does Dawson have another victory up their sleeve, or will Hubbard turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
