Volleyball Recap: Washington Comes Up Short

Washington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Iowa City West Trojans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Warriors of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Washington's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Iowa City West, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.

Washington wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Grinnell on the 13th. As for Iowa City West, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Clear Creek-Amana on the 13th.
