Volleyball Recap: Village Christian Academy Continues Road Dominance on Friday

Village Christian Academy entered their tilt with Coastal Christian on Friday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Centurions. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Knights have posted since March 25, 2024.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Village Christian Academy who won the one that mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 24-26, 15-13.

Grant Washington paced Village Christian Academy's offense, picking up eight kills. Washington got some help from Andrew Ngo and his seven assists. Jacob Grenier- Richie and Gavin Hairr kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

Village Christian Academy pushed their record up to 16-2 with the win, which was their tenth straight on the road. As for Coastal Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.
