Basketball Game Preview: Perkins-Tryon Demons vs. Bristow Pirates

The Perkins-Tryon Demons will venture away from home to challenge the Bristow Pirates at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Perkins-Tryon will be strutting in after a victory while Bristow will be coming in after a defeat.

Perkins-Tryon took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They walked away with a 40-30 win over Cushing. Given the Demons' advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 150th, while the Tigers are ranked 384th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Bristow was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 51-28 to Kiefer.

Perkins-Tryon's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-6. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.0 points per game. As for Bristow, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-10.

Perkins-Tryon strolled past Bristow in their previous matchup back in December of 2024 by a score of 36-18. The rematch might be a little tougher for Perkins-Tryon since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
