Preview: North Harrison Cougars vs. Lanesville Eagles
North Harrison has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. The North Harrison Cougars and the Lanesville Eagles will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Indiana (North Harrison is ranked 398th, while Lanesville is ranked 407th).
Last Saturday, North Harrison came up short against Floyd Central and fell 54-45.
Meanwhile, Lanesville's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by Orleans 60-23. Lanesville was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-17.
North Harrison's defeat was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-12. As for Lanesville, their loss dropped their record down to 1-12.
Everything went North Harrison's way against Lanesville in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 as North Harrison made off with a 51-26 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for North Harrison since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
