Basketball Recap: Conway Tigers vs. Westwood Redhawks

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Conway can now relate to. They were dealt a 51-14 defeat at the hands of the Westwood Redhawks on Monday. The Tigers were down 32-9 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Ahchiya Hill and Rebecca Hemingway certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Hill posted two points along with 11 rebounds and three steals, while Hemingway scored eight points and eight boards. That was a full 57.1% of Conway's points, marking the fourth time in a row Hemingway has had more than a third of the team's points.

Westwood found their leader in sophomore Aneya Britt, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 14 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Amari Alexander, who earned ten points.

Conway dropped their record down to 2-19 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Westwood, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-14.
