Football Recap: Hope Comes Up Short

While it was Hope who put the first points on the board on Friday, it was De Queen who put up more. The Bobcats took a blow against the Leopards, falling 56-25. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Bobcats have suffered against the Leopards since September 22, 2017.

Several Bobcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Trey Hoglund, who threw for 195 yards and three TDs on only 15 passes. Another receiver making a difference was Jaiden Brown, who picked up 112 receiving yards and one touchdown.

This is the second loss in a row for Hope and nudges their season record down to 1-3. As for De Queen, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1.

Coincidentally, Hope and De Queen will both be playing Hot Springs the next time they take the field. The Bobcats will head out to face the Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Leopards will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on October 10.
