Soccer Recap: Monroe Triumphs

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Monroe walked away with it. They never let the George Washington Prep Generals onto the board and left with a 3-0 victory on Wednesday.

Monroe hit George Washington Prep with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Ashley Cruz, Vanessa Cuellar, and April Duran.

Monroe's win bumped their record up to 4-9. As for George Washington Prep, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-5.

Looking ahead, Monroe will head out on the road to take on Middle College at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Middle College will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Monroe surely won't give up without a fight. George Washington Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
