Football Recap: Smith Takes a Loss

Smith was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 32-12 to the Stevenson Ambassadors. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Ambassadors apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Smith's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Stevenson, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Smith will challenge rival Washington at 11:00 a.m. on the 9th. Meanwhile, Stevenson is set to square off against their familiar foe Grady at 12:00 p.m. on the 9th. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Ambassadors 9.6, the Falcons 3.3) so any points scored will be well earned.
