Basketball Game Preview: Wayne Christian Eagles vs. Coastal Christian Centurions

The Wayne Christian Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Coastal Christian Centurions at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Last Tuesday, Wayne Christian came up short against John Paul II Catholic and fell 47-35.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Coastal Christian). They blew past Epiphany, posting a 91-55 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Centurions as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Wayne Christian has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. As for Coastal Christian, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-13.

Wayne Christian took their win against Coastal Christian in their previous matchup back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 72-48. Does Wayne Christian have another victory up their sleeve, or will Coastal Christian turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
