New Lothrop won the last time they faced Byron and things went their way on Friday too. The New Lothrop Hornets simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Byron Eagles 56-12. The Hornets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 matchups by 21 points or more this season.

New Lothrop's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 22.6 points over those games. As for Byron, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-13.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. New Lothrop will face off against Pewamo-Westphalia at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Pewamo-Westphalia will roll in looking for their 17th straight victory, something New Lothrop surely won't give up without a fight. As for Byron, they will host Morrice at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Byron is facing Morrice at the right time seeing as Morrice is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
