Recap: Truckee Wolverines vs. Spring Creek Spartans

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Truckee Wolverines had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They breezed by Spring Creek at home to the tune of 43-6. The win was just business as usual for Truckee, who after 11 games remain undefeated this season.

Truckee's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jace Estabrook led the charge by throwing for 180 yards and two touchdowns while completing 87.5% of his passes. Another player making a difference was Joe Birnbaum, who rushed for 123 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries.

Spring Creek's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Jon Crawford-Wadley, who picked up 117 receiving yards and a touchdown, and Aaron Santos who threw for 131 yards and a touchdown while completing 92.3% of his passes.

Truckee has yet to lose a matchup at home this season, leaving them with a 12-0 record. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 27.25 points. As for Spring Creek, they now have a losing record at 5-6.

Truckee will be playing in front of their home fans against Moapa Valley at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Moapa Valley is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Spring Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
